The United States of America has extended its well wishes and congratulations to Malaysia on its 56th Independence Day celebration. United States was proud to call Malaysia a partner and a friend, adding that the longstanding ties between the people of the two countries were closer than ever, through initiatives like the Fulbright English Teaching Assistant Programme, expanded university ties, and enhanced scientific collaboration.
